In the conditions of the rapidly changing reality of the 21st century, where the human being becomes increasingly virtualized, the relevance of corporeality grows.
In contemporary art, the body is not merely an object, but a bearer of meanings, capable of transformation. The series Anatomy of Absurdity offers a new perception of corporeality through the lens of absurd combinations. I invite the viewer to reflect on how technologies and everyday objects influence our perception of ourselves and the surrounding world.
Anatomy, which traditionally studies the structure and functions of the body, when combined with absurdology, allows us to rethink habitual ideas about the human being. Absurd combinations of form and function expand the perception of human experience, erasing the boundaries between corporeality and conceptuality.
Through the lens of absurdology*, I uncover hidden meanings and engage in dialogue with traditional notions of the body, showing that the body is not static, but subject to change and interpretation.
*Absurdology is a way of rethinking functionality: a method of incongruous combinations of familiar forms and imagined purposes, a catalyst for initiating reflection and reviving a childlike perception of the world, bypassing rational logic.
